Fugue: 87

Fugue 87 is an old-school first person shooter made for the 2020 7DFPS jam. You play as Colonel Jack Wisseu, a government operator assigned to a covert operation at "The Cinema", an unimportant military base that the consistently naïve and paranoid government is convinced has much importance.

This is the first game that we at Redeyedfigure have worked on as a team. While the game doesn't sport any new mechanics, the game is designed just to be a simple, challenging, and enjoyable first person shooter to play over a short period of time. It stands as the first game that we at Redeyedfigure are proud to put on our itch.io, which means a lot to us.

Graphically, the game utilizes a simple outline effect in combination with unity's lighting system to create a unique art style that at times mimics stained glass more than borderlands, an aesthetic that we as a team have really fallen in love with. Because of the graphical simplicity, the game performs quite well on basically any machine, though some older hardware will probably have a harder time running it.

The end of this jam has lined up perfectly with the release of the buggy mess of a goty contender that came out, so Fugue 87 should make the perfect little game to play while you wait for Cyberpunk 2077 to install(or for CDPR to get their act together, they should both take the same time).
